One of Brett’s first technology experiences involved shoving a peanut butter and jelly sandwich into a VCR at a very young age. While not a grand achievement, it did impart practical experience. Lucky to have a neighbor who worked at Digital Equipment Corporation, help was never far away as Brett shredded through DOS prompts, help files and broken Windows 3.x video card driver stacks while pushing his first computers to the limits. His Christmas list at 12 included a list of computer components his parents didn’t understand but took a leap of faith and purchased anyway.
As time passed, Brett’s ability to computer grew exponentially. From middle school help desk support to moonlighting supporting businesses remotely from his college dorm, Brett put these skills to good use. He worked co-op at Computer Associates and BladeLogic (later acquired by BMC) where he gained extensive experience managing large corporate networks.
Post graduating Summa Cum Laude from Northeastern University, Brett returned back to Vermont where he worked at a local ERP business maintaining numerous client networks while providing ERP implementation services. It was during this time he saw Vermont had a desperate need for a solid IT company as many companies were without adequate infrastructure.
As such, Brett started simpleroute in 2009 on a mission to fill a growing need. It’s his sincere desire to provide a positive work experience while also providing the best IT services possible.
What I love about the Vermont business community is they strive to give back locally. The perfect client for simpleroute are the ones that know what they do best and are looking for a partner to be their IT department. We can work together to plan out their infrastructure, handle support & IT security, while providing them the technical experience to do what they do best. I have over 16 years of IT experience, many of which have been spent managing IT teams.
Outside of work I enjoy cooking and movies. Additionally I enjoy hiking and skiing around the beautiful Green Mountain state.

Being a fourth generation Vermonter, Peter has deep roots in the community. He earned degrees in both Architectural Engineering and Business. He has years of operations and technology experience with both small and large companies, understanding the challenges that can arise. Like many people working in tech today that was not his original plan. After graduating from engineering school and working for an engineering firm he landed at a consumer products manufacturer. There his life in technology began in earnest with call center and telecom management. His experience continued to expanded to include IT leadership and project management. Throughout his career he has worked with diverse user communities from the front-line to the executive level. He has a well developed ability to demystify technology for people who do not spend their work lives in technology.
Outside of work Peter has been involved in municipal planning and zoning for almost 20 years. Currently he is the chair for his town’s planning commission and additionally chairs the board of trustees for a local non-profit.

Charles took apart his first remote control at 5, never to be used again. After that, he was hooked. His interests scaled from tinkering with things he didn’t understand to building large scale infrastructure using old equipment he found in dumpsters. Charles’ hobby quickly grew to something that he couldn’t afford anymore. His desire to work with and understand the biggest newest things quickly outgrew his budget. With strong family support, he began pursuing careers as a help desk technician hoping to get a toehold into bigger and better things.
After 8 years working in the industry he’s found his dream job. The simple love of the technology he works with drives a passion to administer and design system infrastructure. The ability to design, maintain and work with enterprise class systems is what gets Charles out of bed in the morning, having the knowledge to find the perfect solution for any need of any client is what pushes him to voraciously read anything tech related.
Joining simpleroute’s workforce in 2015 moved Charles into a position at the most rewarding employer he’s ever worked for. The expansive knowledge of our team members has left us in a unique stance with a force that can find a cost effective solution for any problem with the experience to implement it in a timely and professional manner. Charles has expressed that working alongside his co-workers for our clients has been some of the most fun he has ever had while doing difficult work. Charles looks forward to working with simpleroute to help our clients business succeed in every way.

Mathew’s innate ability to figure out the mechanics of his surroundings were quite clear from an early age. His childhood consisted primarily of figuring out those mechanics - by breaking them. While in high school, he attended the career center for computers. Shortly after graduation, Mathew enlisted in the Navy, and excelled in the Nuclear Power School Program. The start of his career in computers began at the age of 16. He attributes his success to dedication and never ending research. Throughout the years, his growth and success was often acknowledged with awards and praise.
Mathew’s technical support and patience, goes far beyond just giving a man a fish. “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.” - Albert Einstein

Sometimes you get that question as you are growing up "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Most kids probably do not rant and rave about wanting to be in the IT industry, but my love for computers started at a young age. Fast forward to now and I have a degree in Cyber Security and Network/System Administration from Champlain College. Being in my generation is amazing because I get to see so many changes within technology. When I am not working or thinking about IT related topics, I like to get outside as much as a I can. Kayaking, hiking, camping, and just going for walks with my yellow Lab Buster!
Brandon comes to simpleroute with 6 years in IT.

Millie was adopted from South Carolina. Details are unknown in her life prior to adoption but she is suspected to be a Beagle and Rottweiler mix. While she doesn't close many tickets or answer many calls, the team is very aware of her presence as their KPIs increase when she is in the office.
