We’re sending out a friendly reminder about an important upcoming change: Microsoft will be ending support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025.
What does this mean for you? After this date, your Windows 10 devices will no longer receive:
- Security updates
- Non-security updates
- Assisted support
Why is this important?
Running an unsupported operating system can leave your systems vulnerable to security risks. Without regular security updates, your computers become more susceptible to viruses, malware, and other cyber threats. This can compromise your data, disrupt your operations, and potentially lead to costly consequences.
What are your options?
- Upgrade to Windows 11: If your hardware meets the requirements, upgrading to Windows 11 is the recommended path. This will ensure you continue to receive the latest features, security updates, and support from Microsoft.
- Replace older hardware: If your current devices don’t meet the requirements for Windows 11, it may be time to consider replacing them with newer hardware that does. Due to current and potential future tariffs, we recommend purchasing new hardware sooner rather than later, as prices may increase, and supply chain may become an issue.
- Extended Security Updates (ESU): Microsoft will offer paid Extended Security Updates (ESU) for Windows 10 for a limited time. This will provide security updates, but it’s a temporary solution and not a long-term strategy.
Don’t wait until the last minute!
Six months may seem like a while, but planning and executing an operating system upgrade or hardware replacement can take time. We strongly recommend that you begin planning your migration strategy now to avoid any disruptions or security risks.
